Mac madness in Lazada’s first Super Brand Day
Online e-commerce platform Lazada has launched its first Super Brand Day for global makeup partner Mac – with exclusive sets sold out within minutes.
The 24-hour promotion won tens of thousands of new followers for Mac in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines, with lipstick sales in all four countries exceeding the total average sales for the previous six months. Social posts, key hashtags and influencer activations reached 16 million impressions and 130,000 interactions throughout the region. 60 per cent of sales were from outside major city areas.
Robin Mah, Lazada’s group chief business officer, said, “In the past two years, we have seen an exponential growth with brand partners on Lazada. Super Brand Day allows these brands the opportunity to engage their fans in innovative ways and reach new customers in all parts of Southeast Asia.”
The online event followed a series of Mac X Lazada press events in Bangkok and Manila, where attendees were able to mingle with celebrities, influencers and Mac’s makeup artists.
