Hooters of Koh Samui opens at Chaweng Beach
Hooters of Koh Samui has been launched in the Chaweng Beach area by franchisee Destination Eats.
Chaweng, on Thailand’s second-largest island, is known for its pristine beach, hotels, restaurants and nightlife. Hooters is offering its wings, burgers and salads in a 190-seat location with more than 20 large-screen televisions. Additions to the menu to suit local tastes include massaman curry and tom yum.
On the beachfront, the restaurant is an ideal family dining destination, says Destination Eats CEO Gary Murray.
The new site is part of a 35-location Southeast Asia development agreement between Hooters and the Singapore-based international franchisee. Recent openings by Destination Eats include Hooters of Singapore – Marina Bay, Hooters of Jakarta and Hooters of Fusionopolis (Singapore). The franchisee has plans for more Hooters locations this summer – in Phnom Penh, and multiple outlets in Manila – and is seeking sites in Bali, Bangkok, Cebu, Davao, Ho Chi Minh, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Kowloon, Krabi, Kuala Lumpur, Macau, Siem Reap, Taipei and Yangon.
